Feature requests

Provide the ability to view a single respondent's answers across multiple questions in the survey results. While administrators won't be able to see who provided the responses, they will be able to see all information submitted with a particular submission.

Implement an official online voting feature.

Provide admins with the ability to move around where items are located on the homepage. This would apply to the rotating photos, news, and upcoming events.

If there are posts with a lot of comments, you need to scroll endlessly to get to the last one and to the text area that lets you respond. To simplify this, create a "... see more ... " text button that shows all comments when clicked, and hides up to 90% of the messages. Hiding those already seen is even better!

Add the ability to specify a custom footer to be shown on every page. There's a de facto web standard for having contact information in the footer, and I would like to have some standard info and links on every page of our site like that. We also might need to put our own legal information at the bottom. Ultimately, I'd love to be able to turn off the HOA Express footer as an option.

A "smart group" would automatically determine its members/accounts based on certain factors. The system could support "default" smart groups and "custom" smart groups. ----- Default smart groups: ----- Default smart groups would be ones that could be created without any admin input. Examples include: • Streets (one group per street within the community, with all accounts that live on that street) • Board members (a single group, with all members on the "board members" page type) • Committees (one group per committee, with all members listed in that committee on the "committees" page type) • Buildings (this would be more complex, but it’d look for patterns that indicated the community has 2+ multi-tenant buildings) ----- Custom smart groups: ----- Custom smart groups would be ones that could be created by the admin, but would need certain details to be provided. Examples include: • Collection of streets (admin would select 2+ street names; useful for sections within a community) • Last login (admin would indicate more/less recent than a certain time period; e.g., more recent than 30 days or less recent than 6 months) It would be nice to be able to toggle the default smart groups on or off. Provide the ability to format answers on the FAQ page type by using the text editor with formatting options (e.g., links, bold, italics, etc.).

Our current objective is to create and improve upon the world's greatest community website builder. Over the years, we've had many communities request features that fall under the umbrella of resident or community management software. This is a separate industry from the one our company falls into, although we do see the similarities. There are a number of companies that provide this type of software, and they generally don't compete with website builders. Some examples of features that fall under management software include: Task/project tracking, usually tied to form submissions (maintenance requests, work orders, ARC requests, etc.) Reservation system, usually for amenities Resident billing (assessing fines, tracking payments made outside the website, sending notices of payments due, due dates, late fees, etc.) Financial tools (accounting tools, vendor payments, etc.) Document storage (bulk uploading/downloading of files, data retention policies, etc.) Anonymous violation tracking While management software is on our radar, it's not the industry we're currently in. Still, we'll use this post to gather thoughts, ideas, and comments from customers in case we decide to head that direction in the future.

Allow the admins to reorder articles added to a "News Articles" page. Otherwise more significant articles may not be seen by homeowners.

Build a way to search most, if not all, of the content on a website, to find the particular content you're looking for.
