Allow admins to edit full members’ contact info
planned

Provide admins with a way to edit the contact info (name, email address, cell phone) for full members (i.e., members who are able to sign in and manage their contact info themselves). Since a member may not wish to share certain contact info, and since the email address is part of the member’s sign in credentials, this functionality will need to be offered with security and privacy in mind.
ORIGINAL POST:
Since you are committed to User control and privacy, while Administrators are concerned about completeness and accuracy, would you consider implementing a method that would allow Administrators to add information update requests to users, where the Administrator sends the proposed update and this sends a link to the user to allow them to view and approve the change/update? The big issue with homeowners is that they lack motivation to update material on their own. This sort of extra push would make it as simple as possible to prod them to do it, by mostly doing it for them.

This will be very useful. Right now my options (if their email or phone number is not correct in the system) is to delete them, re-import the correct information, and add them back to their groups OR send an email asking them to update their profile. We're dealing with senior citizens, so you can imagine how well that goes.

OH YES!!! Thank you. We need the ability to help our members.

(groan) This again. Make locking admins out of account maintenance an OPTION. Our little association of 24 members whose board and admin are all residents just doesn't need or want the hassle. Most of our owners are senior citizens who can barely manage email. They just aren't able to deal with it on their own and need my support.

It would save so much time!

Yes!!! We have quite a few senior residents and unmotivated residents. It's become a big problem of not be able to update accounts. I agree - this makes my day as well!

Yes, yes, YES!! Finally......a long time coming - this is most definitely needed. Our community is made up of 1,000 senior residents, many with very limited computer abilities. THANK YOU!

Mike Klackle: We're glad to hear you're excited about having this capability! 😃

Wes Cossick Finally! At least once a month some member asks me to update their email and trying to walk them through the process is always frustrating.

i concur, i need a way as admin, to ensure contact info is complete and accurate, and correct it. i also want ability to request the member to add or update their contact. When they move away, I need to updater their contact.

Todd Palumbo: Thank you for letting us know how this capability would be beneficial to you. As a note, if a member moves away from your community, you can delete their account and register new ones for any subsequent owners/renters.

This issue keeps coming up, and your stubbornness to provide a solution creates unnecessary hassles and wasted time for many admins. Admins need the ability to change an account's data and settings, especially the email address.
Many of our older residents are technically clueless, unable to understand even the difference between email and a browser. Such an owner who hasn't logged in for months, has forgotten his password, and has changed email providers in the mean time is screwed. No way to regain access to his account because the password reset email goes into the bit bucket.
The same issue besets relatives of an owner who has move to a nursing home, and the executor of an owner who has died. Those people need a way to capture association notices and other communications directed to the former owner. I have encountered all three such situation.
Your stock answer to "just delete and recreate" an account turns a two-minute edit into a long bearded email chain of explanations and instructions, and a great deal of wasted time.
I understand your concern that an unscrupulous admin could alter an email address to commit a fraud. For a large association with millions in assets and a hundred members, that might true, but for a small association of twenty members, all neighbors, it's utterly irrelevant.
This admin lockout could be a community setting available to those who need it, and disabled for those who don't. Another solution suggested here is creation of a super-admin similar to the "owner" of a Google Mailing List or Google Group, assignable to only one single person who then grants privileges to others.

When an account has children/pets listed and the parents are removed from the account but a contact remains, the children seem to attach to the account. need the ability to delist/remove them from account if the parent contact is removed. Rental families that come and go this starts to become weird that there are children/pets on the account that don't live at the residence
